Riona: Do you know about the brand of Tutti Frutti?
Customer : Sure, I know about this brand 2 or 3 years before.


2. Favorite 
Riona : Which Favorite do you prefer the most?
Customer : Myself will more prefer the ori taste.
Riona : Do you mean the original favorite? 
Customer : ya.
Riona : Myself also agree about it, I also more prefer the original favorite.


3. Price
Riona: Do you think the price is affordable?
Customer : Ok, I think the price is a normal price in the social for this kind of food.  


4.Time of coming 
Riona : How frequent do you visit the Tutti Frutti?
Customer : Once in a while I will be visiting the Tutti Frutti.


5. Invite friend
Riona : Do you think you will invite your friends to come and purchase the Tutti Frutti Frozen Yogurt ?

Customer : Ya, of course. It is a quite a tasty food.


6. Opinion
Riona : Do you have any opinion about it?

Customer : Opinion?
Riona : Ya, it can be the good side of the Tutti Frutti or even the bad side of them.
Customer : How many favorite do they have?
Riona : They have around 42 kind of favorite but each outlet only have around 6 to 8 kind of favorite frozen yogurt at each time. They will change the favorite every month.
Customer : I think the only thing I think off is that, not always me as a customer will get the chance to try all their favorite of the frozen yogurt. Because they not provided all the favorite at the same time, and they also keep on changing it time by time.

Extra information

I went 2 days to The Francis International Malaysia that held at PWTC. The first day I went there to have a look on the Tutti Frutti francis. Here are a picture that took on that day.

At that moment, they also provided us a free sample frozen yogurt to try. Through this interview I manage to get a bonus information from them. That is they are coming out a special big promotion on this year. They will be coming out some new product, such as they will be promoting drinks in Tutti Frutti. 

This is something that I think is a new information that will be launch to the community.

The FIM 2012 on 7 July 2012



What is FIM 2012? 

It is Franchise International Malaysia 2012 exhibition in PWTC.

I have interview the Tutti Frutti Franchise booth in FIM.





Product and service:
      1.Using what kind of way to increase the positive reputation in the social?
Will be using the advertisement such as the electronic media to create awareness for social, using Facebook to inform those fans about the promotions and also through banding. All kind of advertisement will also boost the awareness in each and every year around the September and October.

      2. Using what kind of way to understand the customer need?
Did not use survey to understand customer need but because of the changing of the human heart. Human nowadays like to go for those healthy foods. So TF did not do any changes for the customer need but is because of the changes of the customer.

      3.Are the market of TF is still growing nowadays?
Ya, it is still growing market for TF.

      4. Is this FY is safe to consume by everybody?
Yes, all kind of people.

      5. When is the largest promotion coming for the customers?
TF will promote different types of drinks, coffee and also yogurt bubble tea.

Process and business format:
      6.What kind of management that used in the TF? Any kind of system?
System set using the POS system (Point of sale). Whenever any of the Francis close business will perform auto upload to the headquarter.

      7. Any training need to attend by the one who buy the Francis?
Ya, they need to attend a workshop and training around for 3 days. And this training need to completed by one week before opening the business of the Francis. There are other subsequent training depend on what is new for them and this also update time to time.

      8. Number of Francis in KL? Which state has the less number of Francis outlet in Malaysia?
There are already 55 outlet in Klang Valley and in whole Malaysia there are around 150 outlets. The less is outlet is Sarawak. There actually haven’t start any but after this Raya there will be a new outlet in there.

      9. How long does the TF takes to be famous?
TF first start on 2009 and the market keep on growing actively and less than one year it already become so famous.

Profitability:
      10. Is the labor cost standard for all Francis or set by the individual Franchisor?
Individual has the right to set it but now government has set the minimum amount of the labor cost but still the individual still can set it in their own Francis.

     11.What is the start up cost for the TF?
There are around RM 368- RM388 for the Francis package. There are included the Francis fee, yogurt machines, POS system, CCTV, S.O.P training, print materials, marketing material package and the utensils package.

        12. The expenses for advertising is around how much?
Every month every Francis need to contribute 2 % of their gross profit and TF will used around RM 2milion for only the advertising casually.

       13. How long is the Francis agreement contract last?
Each contract only last for 5 years.

        14. How much is the renewal cost for it?
Money will be paid according to the same amount of money just like the first time buying the Francis.

        15. If those Franchisor facing failure on their business, what will happened to them?
If they facing the failure, they can straight close the business and they can’t be refunding their money back and of cause they won’t facing any extra charge for the business failure.

        16. How many profit will be earn by TF?
There are around 45-50% profit will be earned in each and every month.

People:
        17. Any field support provided for the Francis?
Every month, the headquarter will send the mechanical people to check on the yogurt machines on each of every outlet, this is to ensure they are all well functioning. Other than this, we will also send someone to have a sport check on those outlet. The purpose is actually to ensure them are following the guideline and hope the sale can be increase from time to time. This sport check is no duration of period. 

       18. Any more new outlet are going to be launch?
Ya, one of the new outlet will be soon launch in front of the Utar in Kampar.

       19. How long do you think the TF will stay in the climax?
From 2009 until nowadays, TF still reaching and stay at the climax and TF estimated that TF still can stay at the climax market sale for 5 more years.

        20. Are there any difficulty that faced before?
Did not have any difficulty for the TF company. Therefore, it means that TF have the smooth flow of business until now.

Me and my friend (Snow Chan) go and eat the Frozen Yogurt. 


Walking in the shop, 
choose the flavor that we want,
paying with a special promoting price (the student price),
sitting down and start to enjoy our delicious frozen yogurt.

It is kinda nice to have this Frozen Yogurt in Tutti Frutti each and every one month.





On that day, we also saw many people coming in to buy the Frozen Yogurt. We even see the people from other country.

There are many promotion launch before such as promotion for ladies day up till 20%, get 10% discount with your student card on the weekdays, and the most latest promotion from Tutti Frutti was they celebrated the first term break rolling from 10th of march until 18th of march in year 2012. The condition is that purchase a minimum RM20 in a single receipt and you can claim a exclusive Tutti Frutti Malaysia lanyard or also known as the tag holder. It a limited offer for grabbing.

While in Taman Melati Utama outlet still have the weekdays student price promotion for us to enjoy the tastiest Tutti Frutti Frozen Yogurt. 

Are there any non-profit organization's project that Tutti Frutti involved?


Real Green Project
Tutti Frutti Frozen Yogurt organized a promotional event that known as the Real Green Project with their business partner Nutrition and Education Institute(NEI) a non-profile organization. Tutti Frutti Frozen Yogurt company has donated 10% of their profit from their soy bean yogurt to feed the children that needed nutrition.

The Real Green Project is actually based on the new soy yogurt of Tutti Frutti. The soy yogurt is not only healthy, non-daily, vegan friendly and it tastes great. This project is to designed for promoting awareness on the product that can provide nutrition but also to the current situation in Afghanistan. In Afghanistan actually have less number of farmers and according to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, there are almost up to 70% of people in Afghanistan are food insecure and facing high food prices. Tutti Frutti and NEI hope to help the people and also the farmer in Afghanistan to make a better living by providing them with soy bean seeds and provide them the education on cultivate the soy bean. Therefore, Tutti Frutti willing to donate 10% of all proceeds from soy yogurt to NEL to help the hunger people in Afghanistan. This is meaningful project for Tutti Frutti on showing how important of nutrition in food for human.

Any type of Flavors?


There are 40 types flavor and 40 types of topping as the option for people. Although there are not all offered at each outlet but the original, chocolate and vanilla flavors are permanently featured. 
As for the flavors there are almond, banana, birthday cake, cantaloupe, cappuccino, cheese cake, chocolate peanut butter, coconut, coffee, cookie and cream, green tea, melon, mint, mint chocolate, NSA vanilla, orange cream, orange sorbet, papaya, peanut butter, pink lemonade sorbet, pistachio, pumpkin pie, royal red velvet, splenda strawberry, strawberry cheesecake, taro, watermelon, vanilla bean, grape, green apple, guava, kiwi, lemon, lychee, mango, orange, Tutti Frutti tart, passion, peach, pineapple, pomegranate, raspberry, strawberry field, strawberry banana, tutti frutti and etc. The different of flavor adding in some topping will be a perfect frozen yogurt to taste with joy. 

Health benefits


Although the Tutti Frutti Frozen Yogurt is a type of dessert but it is a healthy dessert. It is healthier than the ice-cream. The frozen yogurt is high in mineral and nutrients. Mineral and nutrients such as the enzymes that help people that lack of lactose and high in protein from milk ingredient. Frozen yogurt is created from specific probiotics that can help to build up the immune system, help the digestion system and also can help human to lower the cholesterol level of the human body. Therefore, Frozen Yogurt can be much helpful for urinary tract bacterial infections, irritable bowel syndrome, reduce the recurrence of bladder cancer, prevent atopic dermatitis known as eczema that happened on the child.

The Tutti Frutti Frozen Yogurt is actually have types of benefits. It can help to strengthens the immune system, prevents constipation, diarrhea and bloating, it even can help to prevent the colon cancer. Other than these, it also can help the elders to lower the blood pressure and lower the cholesterol level. Operating system



A system is very important for all business. A successful business definitely have a organize system of themselves.
For Tutti Frutti frozen yogurt have a operating system that called Café Cartel System. Café Cartel System has developed a Point of Sale System (POS system) to run their business. Café Cartel System is a system that approved by the Department of weights and Measures which is used for integrated scale on the frozen yogurt.
It help to weight, measure, control, monitor inventory, execute, tracking any promotional campaigns, run analytical reports, schedule and track the payroll. This is the operating system used for the customer’s payment on the frozen yogurt just by measuring the weight.
      

Who is the target market?


As the product is a frozen yogurt that sell in the Tutti Frutti so the target audience is mostly youngsters and adults.
They mentioned before
“We are targeting people of all ages, including teenagers, students, young executives and families.” So this can be see that their target market actually is a large group in the market field.
  

What is the Mission Statement?


The mission statement for the Tutti Frutti's Vision is

What is Tutti Frutti?


Tutti Frutti is a worldwide product that sell as a dessert. It is similar to ice-cream that most of the people like it but this is something different from ice-cream, it is made from yogurt rather than cream. It is in a form of cold yogurt so is also known as the “frozen yogurt”.
Tutti Frutti as a well known retailer in the world that sell this specialty frozen yogurt. Tutti Frutti have different franchise at different countries as well as at Australia, Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, China, Colombia, Dominican Republic, UAE, Hong Kong, Vietnam, United Kingdom, Taiwan, Tahiti, Philippines, New Zealand, Mexico, Indonesia and also Malaysia. In this assignment, I will do some of the case study of Tutti Frutti in Malaysia. The franchise holder of the Tutti Frutti Frozen Yogurt in Malaysia is a company that form from the NAZA Group of Companies, known as Naza Tutti Frutti Sdn Bhd(Malaysia) directed by Izham Hakimi Hamdi attributes the brand’s strength and popularity to the word of mouth testimonials from his customers and franchisees. The franchise in Malaysia first start their business serving up the flavorful fun since October 2009 in Sunway Pyramid. Naza Tutti Frutti Sdn Bhd (Malaysia) is the master license holder for the Tutti Frutti shops in these countries, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, Brunei and Thailand. There are 55 outlet in Klang Valley and around 105 outlets in Malaysia.
The Tutti Frutti Frozen Yogurt increase their awareness through website, Facebook, staff members and in-store promotional materials. Izham  Hakimi Hamdi mentioned that there are not a concern of competitors for them as long as they maintain the quality of their product with a good services provided and this is what they need for their businesses. Other than this, the main point for them to advertising and making the marketing campaign is to give people aware of the brand(Tutti Frutti) and maintain the customer loyalty to the product, that includes the radio campaign, loyalty and membership programme and ongoing monthly promotions for the people.
In the Annual Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards 2011 Malaysia, Tutti Frutti Frozen Yogurt get the award for Most Promoting Entrepreneurship with honors. The successfulness of them can be shown through the number of the franchise network in Malaysia are growing very fast in year 2009, they already have around 104 outlets until today. They expanded successfully nationwide especially the South East Asia through the sub-franchising programme and this offer the opportunity of entrepreneurship to be part of the attractive fast growing business.
